MATERIALS

In the requisitioning of fabrication materials, Sauder acts as a quality link between our customers and supplier associates.  When selecting a supplier, we look for the same qualities that are important to our customers:  cooperation, competitive price, timely deliveries and accuracy to order specifications.

Sauder is experienced in the fabrication and assembly of products made from a complete range of metallurgical specifications, including carbon steel, low-alloy steels, stainless steels and high-alloy steels.  We routinely produce pressure vessels and components fabricated from roll-bonded and explosively bonded clad plate.  As an additional quality measure, our technical staff reviews all metallurgical specifications, suggesting possible improvements or enhancements to product quality.

Further testing, such as HIC, temper embrittlement, corrosion resistance, ultrasonic and CHARPY (when required), assures that our materials contain the necessary properties for meeting design specifications.  When necessary, Sauder has access to qualified off-shore, as well as domestic materials sources.  The acquisition of quality materials is a vital link in the process of providing Sauder customers with workmanship that meets or exceeds their expectations.

A sampling of the materials Sauder Custom Fabrication is qualified to work with:
